CHARACTER DESIGNS FOR “FEMCELLS”
Hita set up a padlet, and shared current files to keep the team updated and on track. I added everyone to my shared pinterest so non one’s input on visual style goes unappreciated.

LOGLINE: An overworked mechanic living in a dystopian panopticon finds catharsis in fixing things. An act of human error forces him to confront the relationship between his body and mental autonomy.
SYNOPSIS: The omnipresence of A.I. surveillance has enforced human isolation in a desolate city. A lone mechanic enjoys the art of updating human machinery to current A.I. systems in a logical, efficient routine. Unquestioning of his duty, he exhausts himself when working on a faulty piece of machinery that cannot be fixed. His circular thought process is flagged, warning him of the limits of his mind, and enforcing a step by step method to prevent mental overload [as understood by a machine].
Through this A.I. logic he begins a systematic, methodical examination of his skin, face, and body. The investigation turns inward as it becomes increasingly angry and hateful, fuelled by his frustration and exhaustion. At the peak, the crescendo, all rational thought is depleted, he has ripped himself apart from the inside, in a hellish landscape of suffering. In this chaotic mental process he has a moment of acceptance as he observes the separation of his mind and body, accepting the calm of cognitive freedom in the form of ‘insanity’ where the surveillance has lost all connection. In the external world the ruined, neglected body is left behind.

SIMPLIFIED SYNOPSIS: In a desolate city under constant surveillance, a lone mechanic tirelessly upgrades human machinery to align with newer A.I. systems. When he becomes obsessed with fixing a faulty piece, the A.I. flags his circular thought process, enforcing a step-by-step method to prevent mental overload. But this A.I. logic drives him into a spiral of self-destruction. As his mind breaks free, he finds calm in insanity, beyond the reach of surveillance—leaving his ruined body behind.
